Video Poker Instructions

Video poker and the card version of the game are played in pretty much the same way. So if you're familiar with the card version, it won't be difficult to catch onto video poker.
  • To begin, place a bet by putting coins into the machine. You must place a bet before the game begins, and you cannot change that bet once the game begins.
  • After placing your bet, press the "Draw/Deal" button to get your first hand of five cards.
  • You can decide which card(s) you want to hold onto by pressing the "Hold/Cancel" button under each card. To change your decision, press the button again to cancel your hold on the card.
  • Make sure you have confirmation about the cards you want to hold onto before moving on. The word "hold" will flash under any cards you're holding.
  • To replace any card(s) you've gotten rid of, press the Draw/Deal button again.
And please keep in mind that the cards won't always appear in order on the screen. Many video poker games won't let you know about a hand/potential hand until the game is over.
